When smartphone makers like Samsung and Motorola are busy launching high priced foldable display smartphones, LG has entered the room with launching a dual display phone at an affordable price.
The price for LG Velvet is in India is going to start at Rs 36,990, and the LG Velvet Dual Screen combo is priced starting at Rs 49,990.
LG Velvet is different in look wise to other phone LG has launched to date. with having a slim and tall look. Velvet has a metal-glass sandwich design with both the sides being curved.
The right side has power button while on the left you will get volume buttons and a Google Assistant key. While at top of the phone you will find SIM card tray with micro SD card. This smartphone also has a USB-C port, speaker & headphone jack at the bottom.
The LG Velvet comes with a case for a secondary display with all the important ports and buttons.
The dual-screen accessory has shapes for the audio jack and bottom firing speaker.
Moreover, the Velvet also comes with a hybrid SIM card tray, microSD card to expand the in memory.
The LG Velvet has a P-OLED 6.8-inch main screen along with an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 & a resolution of 2460×1080, 60Hz refresh rate.
The sunlight readability of the device is nice. You won’t be peeking his/her eyes to read text or view a photo on the phone.
The sides of the display are curved, which looks modern. The LG smartphone combines a second 6.8-inch screen to the regular monitor of the Velvet. In Dual Screen case, there is also a 2.1-inch display for alerts and other information like one can read the news on one display and watch videos on the other one.
LG has inbuilt a custom web browser called “Whale” it has created especially for its Dual Screen.

The LG Velvet India has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC as an alternative of the Snapdragon 765G found on the global version.
The phone has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and you can expand storage more using a microSD card. The smartphone is good for multitasking between watching a videos, social media apps and sending emails
